Instructions to authors

Individual submissions should come from the author who attended the conference and gave the presentation. Group submissions from conference organizers are encouraged but the organizers must have commitments from the presenting authors. In either case, the article copyright belongs to the listed authors. A group submission may be organized into a thematic issue if the conference organizers are willing to act as guest editors and provide an editorial forward.

Please note, the conference presentation should be prepared as a Microsoft Powerpoint file with an embedded audio narration. Visit PowerPoint And Narration for detailed guidelines on how to record a narrative presentation  directly in PowerPoint. Please avoid the use of rare fonts, special characters, picture bullets, underlined text, and multiple slide masters in the powerpoint files. Sign up for a free account at authorstream and upload the powerpoint file with the display option set as private. Once the presentation is successfully processed, you may need to optimize it. Submit your presentation by emailing nano@oa-host.org, with your sign-in email address and password of your authorstream account and an attached Microsoft Word file (including a title, a list of authors with their institutional affiliations, an abstract of no more than 500 words including references). Hyperlinked references, particularly DOI links are encouraged. Following submission, you will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of  the submission.

All submissions are subject to prescreening by the journal’s editors and will be selected for peer-review and publication mainly for their potential for long-term impact.

The final articles are a new kind of publication, similar to conference presentations in nature, not forfeiting but encouraging other publications such as conference proceedings.

The rise of the open-access model for scientific publishing relies on authors bearing the costs of publication. OAtube goes one step further — authors’ acceptance of publication charges for their papers in this journal is voluntary, under the following conditions. Only if authors appreciate the editorial service provided and the high visibility promised, and only if authors are able to pay, do they pay a suggested publication fee of US$500 per article. These fees will help to continue and upgrade the journal operation, to make the journal a valuable information center, and to maximize dissemination of journal contents.
